Enrichment Week 2nd-6th July
What is Enrichment Week?
With exam season over and Years 11 and 13 gone, we wanted to take the opportunity to provide our remaining pupils with an exciting and challenging Enrichment Week to consolidate the year learning and give teachers the chance to plan extended activities which engage and inspire pupils in their subjects.
- The week will give Y9 pupils a head start at Key Stage 4 by providing them with valuable, sustained time with their core subject teachers, as well as workshops aimed at developing important growth mindset and revision skills Y7 will also benefit from these workshops, as well as a variety of engaging and motivating taster sessions in a range of options subjects Y8 will spend the week developing and applying their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) skills in real life contexts while working towards the CREST Award.
- Y10 will be completing their Community Challenge hours for the Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification, either by organising and supervising the Y7 sports festival days or by enhancing the school environment, or helping out with Y8 STEM activities.
